HOP!

In collaboration with
Valerie Ayosso

Under the project name HOP! a landing platform for passenger drones was designed that is modular and can therefore be assembled and disassembled quickly. This allows the infrastructure to adapt to demand. The platform serves as an access point, especially in an urban context, where safe landing options are not available everywhere. The platform was designed in such a way that the area below it can still be used and public life is not restricted.

The world is becoming ever more fast-moving - everything can look different tomorrow. In this respect, urban air mobility is an exciting topic that could relieve the burden on mobility systems and provide greater flexibility. But even drones cannot do without infrastructure. What does it take to positively expand the concepts of engineers and design offices?

Urban air mobility promises a lot of flexibility, but this must also be achieved by the infrastructure. Therefore, landing pads should be able to be set up and dismantled quickly in order to meet needs in a targeted and effective manner.
